HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Congratulations!! You made it through 2020 and now a brand new year lies before us … but what exactly might it have in store? In order to provide us all with a little guidance I asked my Spiritual Master – St Germain – to cast his unique perspective on 2021 and here it is – St Germain’s Alchemical Numerology for the year that lies ahead …
“From an alchemical perspective each year can be categorised into one of the 7 alchemical phases as detailed in the great Azoth Mandala (see image above). 2021 falls into the 5th stage of the Alchemical Process – FERMENTATION!
The 5th ray of the Azoth is marked with the cipher for the metal Mercury (Quicksilver) and the planet Mercury, as well as an identical smaller symbol indicating the heavenly principle of Mercury or the Archangel associated with this planet Raphael. This ray is usually colored blue-green or green, symbolizing the living energy of transformation spoken of in the Emerald Tablet or the energy that we might better know as the Healing Ray.
The watch word for this cycle is Invenies, which means “you will discover” signifying that this is a year of self discovery and worldly realisation!
This is the operation of Fermentation in which the unexpected mystic substance forms, the ambrosia of the gods, which represents the first lasting solidification of the conjoining of soul and spirit – the Higher and Lower Selves.
Fermentation is the introduction of new life into that which is being alchemized (changed) – namely you and your world – a complete change that will alter its characteristics absolutely – raising it to a whole new level of being.
The Emerald Tablet tells us to leave the earthly realm by the fire of imagination, “gently and with great ingenuity,” into a state that sets our soul afire with higher passion. This is the second or higher application of the Fire Element in the tablet, and the alchemists thought of it as working with the heavenly substance of Sulfur.
In order to find personal assistance here we might call upon the Archangel Chamuel who guards the Divine Spiritual fire of man – calling upon this Angel to help us reignite or amplify our own dwindling passion and spiritual impetus.
Like natural fermentation, alchemical Fermentation is a two-stepped process that begins with Putrefaction, in which the matter is allowed first to rot and decompose and then to ferment or come alive again in spirit.
This may mean that we need to allow those things we have let go of – released – cut ourselves free from and moved beyond some time to fade away and diminish and not be too keen to move too quickly until this has occurred.
For there is something powerful that comes from allowing the past to “decompose” and surrender its wisdom to the now that we might use to move on.
We see this process most clearly in the making of wine. First, the grapes are “sacrificed” or crushed to release their essences in the juice. Then, Putrefaction begins as the juice is allowed to decompose and rot. Next, a white layer of digesting bacteria arises that begins the process of Fermentation. This phase is also sometimes marked by waxy substance the alchemists called the Ferment and an oily film known as the Peacock’s Tail. Finally, the new life force “conquers” the original identity of the grape juice and supplants it with a new and higher presence or life. This higher presence is released during the next operation (Distillation), which produces the true Spirit of Wine (its alcohol), which contains the purified essence of grapes.
Fermentation starts with the inspiration of spiritual power from Above that reanimates, energizes, and enlightens the alchemist. Out of the blackness of the alchemist’s despair (Putrefaction) comes a brilliant display of colors and meaningful visions (the Peacock’s Tail.)
Here then we see a secret reference to the Ascended Master El Morya – whose family emblem during his last lifetime – the lifetime in which he ascended – was the Peacock. Representing that this Master and his powers of discipline are essential in the creation of new rituals and ethos that we all need in order to move on.
Of course the Peacock also refers to the Peacock Angel – the Angel of redemption who can be called upon to help us – turn our head back towards the light of the Divine – the true meaning of the word redemption!

Thus, personal Fermentation is living inspiration from something totally beyond us. In society, the Fermentation experience is the basis of religion and mystical awareness.
Physiologically, Fermentation is the rousing of living energy (chi or kundalini) in the body to heal and vivify. It is expressed as vibratory tones and spoken truths emerging from the Throat or Mercury Chakra. On the planetary level, it is the evolution of life to produce consciousness in matter.
In a nutshell 2021 is a year of change and transformation that will eventually grow – born from the ashes of 2020 – drawn from that which it leaves behind. Good growing from the fermenting rot of the bad and if we embrace this – globally and personally and call upon those energies and entities that present themselves now to aid us we might too rise Phoenix like from the ashes!
Have courage then dear ones for nothing is wasted and nothing truly lost – so long as we remain mindful and vigilant – and all wonder can yet emerge from the darkness leading towards the new golden age long spoken of and yearned for!
